I started this site because I spent most of my professional life either working in an office or other place of business where I saw my co-workers face to face. As a manager, I hired people after sitting down across the table from them and going over their resume. If I liked the candidate we might engage in some chit chat. The point is, I got to know the people I worked with more before I went virtual.
Monday morning we would talk about our weekends and I would know a bit more about my colleague’s likes and dislikes each time we conversed. So I thought if I created a site where prospective clients could learn a bit more about their VA candidates, maybe it would make them more comfortable approaching them. It is also a place for VAs to browse around and find colleagues to network with. A great way to start a conversation is finding something you are both interested in. This can only be a win win for everyone involved.
So go ahead, browse around and get to know each other. I have learned so many things about my fellow VAs by performing these interviews and conversing casually. Twitter and Facebook are excellent tools and a peek inside someone’s marketing. My goal is to give you a peak inside each Virtual Assistant’s personality and learn how he/she likes to work.
